Thank you to all of our Participants, Partners, Sponsors, Beneficiaries and Vendors.  We are especially grateful to our wonderful volunteers that braved the weather to make this event more enjoyable and possible.  We hope that the Boys and Girls Club of Georgetown and the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center made an impression with their support of this event.  Also, this event would not have been have as successful without the hard work of the Sertoma Club of Georgetown.

Start/Finish Site Layout Map
This download shows the positioning of general groups and activities.  Look at this map to see where in the parking lot you can find the Start/Finish, Volunteer Check-in, Clothing Drop/Pick-up, Sponsors/Vendors, and Training Group/Club Tents, oh yeah and Port-a-potties.  The race starts on the on the south side of the north most building at the High School.

Directions and Map to Georgetown High School 10th Grade Campus
From Austin

• Travel I-35 North towards Georgetown
• Take Exit 261A (RR 2338 - Lake Georgetown, Andice)
• Take a right at the stop light
• Take left at next Stop light onto Austin Avenue
• Continue on Austin Avenue about .5 mile past FM 971 (stop light)
• Turn right into the High School Parking lot.
• Start/Finish Line are on the South side of North most building

From Waco

• Travel I-35 South towards Georgetown
• Take Exit 264
• Turn left at Lakeway Dr. and go over bridge over I-35
• Turn right at I-35 Access Road which become Austin Avenue
• Continue for about .7 mile
• Georgetown High School is at the left
• Turn into any but the 1st parking area
• Start/Finish  Line are on the South side of the North most building

The meeting was productive, with their feed back I have a new course option that was almost exactly dictated by the meeting:  http://www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=244595.  This new course option will start at Georgetown High School and travel out CR 151 into the country make a loop and finish back at the High School.

Next steps are to get permission to use the High School as a staging grounds, get permission from the County Commissioners to run on the County Roads, then call another meeting to see if this course is an option.

Nonetheless, the course also has a few potential issues.  There are a few roads that have a fair amount of traffic on Sunday Mornings, this course would require us to cross over and run down FM 971 and across Williams Drive at Shell and DB Wood Roads, then it would require us to cross over DB Wood Road.  FM 971 would be early in the morning and we would clear this area by approximately 8:00 am, so this would likely not be a big deal.  Although the other 2 road crossings of Williams Dr. and DB Wood Road, would encounter a bit more inconvenience for motorists.

During our meeting the city was realistic and open minded.  Since this course covers such a large area we have decided to reconvene with a meeting that would involve more of the parties involved, like TXDoT, Williamson County and Georgetown City Police.
